I’ve had a quick look around providers and this one is currently my preferred option

    Hi Gene,
I’d need to build an interface to one of the SMS providers but it could be do-able. This would have to be done via a club owned SMS account with a provider because these things are charged for by those providers.

We ought to see if there’s anything obvious with your emails first that are causing them to go into Spam.

I ought to put something into the announcements section but as this topic was relevant I’ll add it in here first.

the REST API went live in CROSSMEMBER late last year and just recently I’ve been working on a few WordPress Plugins to utilise the API for Club Websites to use.

    1. API Client – The must have plugin that will handle all the communication with CROSSMEMBER

    2. Member Login – A plugin that will, on your own Club website, create Member Login accounts so that you can lock down your members only area. Login accounts are created when the member joins, flagged if they are overdue, and deleted when the member lapses. The last point is the crucial one. It’s all too easy to either allow self registration, or create a user when someone joins the club, but I bet many clubs forget to remove them when they lapse!

    3. Regions – The ability to have an automatic ‘self-updating’ Regions page on your website. You’re already putting the information into CROSSMEMBER, why replicate this into your website when automation can do it for you.

Anything else you want me to build?

    Cheers,
    Brian.

I’m really pleased you like the integration and it’s working really well for you.

    Hi Gene,
Access the member’s membership record and under the map in the Membership section there is a ‘History’ button. Click that and it will expand the section that shows you all memberships that the member has paid for. If you entered the cheque number last time, it will show up there.

    Hi Gene,
    There’s a couple of ways.
    1. Assuming your Webmaster is on the committee, then as long as he has a minimum of ‘Membership’ access then he’ll be copied in on your monthly email report.
    2. If your webmaster has the right capabilities, you could access the Crossmember API which could allow your website/forum to automate the setup of new members and remove lapsed members.

    Hi Gene,
From the member’s membership record, on the right hand side below the map is the membership history. Just click on the ‘History’ button to expand the section of all previous payments.

    Hi Gene,

You’ve left your member with a ‘CA’ postcode which is Carlisle instead of ‘CB’ which is Cambridge 🙂
So …. He would still be thought of as being in the Borders.

    Hi Gene,
I rather like that idea, thank you. It will need a little more complex logic in your mail merge to cater for those cases where there is no regional rep in place. I’ll add it to the list.
    Cheers,
    Brian.

    Hi Gene,
PayPal and the ability to use the Guest checkout is wholly under the control of PayPal. I’ve met some countries where the Guest checkout just doesn’t seem to be allowed, Ireland for one but I wasn’t aware of Germany.

There are two solutions to this:

    1. Sign up for PayPal Payments Pro and then enable it in the Crossmember settings. PayPal Pro will allow for Credit Card Payments.
    2. Give me a couple more weeks and a new integration with Stripe (stripe.com) will go live. I’ve been a bit sluggish on this integration over the Christmas break but it’s pretty much all done with just a bit more testing to do. Stripe is one of the major credit/debit card payment providers online and their fees are reasonable.

    Hope that helps,
    Brian.

    Hi Gene,
Yes you’re there. The system isn’t plotting the graph for ages that aren’t present.

    Hope that helps.
