Four ways to organise your regions

Every club works differently, so Crossmember gives you your choice of how you define them.

Drawn map regions · Meeting based regions · Postcodes · Manual assignment

Choose the approach that best matches how your regions already work.

Draw the regions you actually have

Your regions, your way

Your club does not have to fit someone else’s postcode map.

Draw the boundary directly on the map and Crossmember assigns members to the right region from their address.

Build a region by:

  • Drawing a shape
  • The whole of a county
  • The whole of a Postcode area such as NN
  • The whole of a Postode district, such as NN4
  • A combination of all four

Your club, your regions, you decide.

Build regions around your meeting places

Crossmember can build regions around your regular meeting places, so members are assigned to the one nearest to them.

Tell Crossmember:

  • Where your meetings are
  • Which region each meeting belongs to

Crossmember creates the region boundaries around those meeting places and assigns members to their nearest one.

Yes, a region can have multiple meetings.

It also highlights where a new region or another meeting place might be needed.

Use the postcode regions you already know

For many clubs, regions already follow familiar postcode areas. Crossmember can assign members automatically using the postcode structure your club already understands.

  • Assign by postcode area, such as NN or PE
  • Group several postcode areas into one region
  • Keep the setup simple and familiar for your committee
  • Members are automatically allocated from their address

Put members in the region that makes sense

Sometimes you just want to choose it yourself.

Assign a member to the appropriate region directly from their record.

Manual assignment works well where:

  • regional boundaries are informal
  • members choose which group they identify with
  • committee knowledge matters more than geography
  • exceptions are common

Simple, deliberate and completely under your control.
