Signing up for GoCardless couldn’t be simpler, just follow these easy steps to get yourself onboard.

Connecting your Club to GoCardless

On the main menu, go to Admin->Setup and select the “GoCardless” tab.

Click the button and you will be redirected to GoCardless to connect CROSSMEMBER to your GoCardless account. Please note that CROSSMEMBER connects to GoCardless securely using the GoCardless provided API and has no access to your login ID and password. Performing this step authorises CROSSMEMBER to manage Direct Debit payments and subscriptions on your behalf.

Once you click the button above, you will see the following GoCardless page:

As you don’t have an account with GoCardless already, just click on the “sign up” link.

Enter your details on the signup form……

And press the “Create account” button.

Now you have an account!  GoCardless will now bring you back to CROSSMEMBER so that they can confirm your account with us and give us the authority to connect to you. But there’s going to be a bit more work that you need to do.

For instance, GoCardless will need to know your Club’s bank account details so that they can pay out the membership fees that they collect on your behalf, your bank account will need to be verified etc.

So … helpfully, GoCardless told us that you need to do this and when you are brought back to CROSSMEMBER you will see this screen.

So click on the button and finish off your onboarding process with GoCardless, it won’t take long.

Don’t worry though, you can still set up Direct Debit mandates with your members, you just wont receive any fees into your Club bank account until you’re fully onboarded.

We would encourage you to complete onboarding now, but if you don’t, you can revisit this page at any time to continue the process.

You will be reminded too. Every time you log in to CROSSMEMBER, or visit the Home page (with all the graphs) there will be a charcoal grey banner at the top of the screen to remind you.

And that’s all there is to it!
